Apeiron Developments were appointed by Priory Asset Management LLP as development manager for the roll out of their Independent Living & Care Home village programme.
Their initial village located in Maghull, Merseyside is a 13,000 sq.m. development comprising of a 90 apartment independent living facility with central hub facilities including; pool, gym, therapy rooms, spa, café, restaurant and bar, and secure under croft car parking area. The village also benefits from 15 two bedroom independent living lodges and a secure 66 bed respite and dementia unit.
The three primary functions of the development are carefully arranged around the site to give an appropriate scale of building relative to the local context whilst ensuring both independence and support is available to residents where needed. Whilst the development comprises of 105 units and a 66 bed care home, the design uses less than 45% of the overall 11.6 acre site, to not only provide place making, but which was also essential to gain Council support and planning approval.
Apeiron Developments provided a full development management role advising on all aspects of the project including:
